Sub-Grade

The sub-grade should be prepared to the required formation, being sufficiently wide and taking into account edge restraints and adjacent structures. It should be drained and protected against flooding and ground water, and this must be carried out before the starting of the sub-base construction. Any unsuitable material should be removed.
