Normal Exposure Conditions
Under normal conditions of exposure, a 1:1:6 (cement:lime:sand) mix is usually satisfactory. The higher lime content mortars are less rigid and, therefore, more capable of accommodating thermal and other movements and may offer greater resistance to rain penetration.
